Block out all stretches of time in advance on a calendar

Have a couple of core habits (e.g. waking up at a particular time and going to where you work) which set off the rest of the day's routine.

Eliminate things that throw you off-routine e.g. going out late, surfing the internet before bed.

Find the route cause of the bad routine. e.g. is it because you have trouble sleeping, or because you hate your work, or because external events keep throwing you off?

Without routine you continually have to make decisions about what to do and often you'll pick the easier, worse option for how to spend your time.
